Dreamstone Partners to Launch Blockchain-Based Tokenization of Aircraft Leasing Assets

ree

Korean aviation finance consulting firm Dreamstone Partners announced on the 12th that it has begun discussions with major financial institutions in Asia, including Hong Kong, to pursue the blockchain-based tokenization of aircraft leasing assets.

Aircraft leasing—where airlines rent aircraft for extended periods while paying regular lease fees—provides a stable cash flow and is considered a prime investment asset. Asset tokenization refers to the process of converting ownership or profit rights of physical assets into digital tokens using blockchain technology. Given their predictable income streams, aircraft leasing assets are widely regarded as highly compatible with tokenization.

According to Dreamstone Partners, the company has already held preliminary meetings with multiple financial institutions and is exploring various possibilities, including the conversion of aircraft leasing assets into digital assets and entry into the global digital asset market. The firm expects the initiative to enhance both asset liquidity and investment accessibility.

Dreamstone Partners added that it has been in discussions with the blockchain subsidiary of a major Asian financial group for over a year, and recently held a meeting with a leading Hong Kong securities firm. Leveraging its expertise in private equity and alternative investments, the company is rapidly expanding its presence in the specialized asset class of aviation finance.

A company spokesperson stated, “The aircraft leasing market has traditionally been closed and difficult to enter, but through digital assetization and international partnerships, we can broaden the investor base. This project is meaningful not only as a financial product, but also as a convergence of the aviation industry and the digital asset market.”
